If someone accepts the beliefs upon saying of any person then he/she can also reject them upon saying of other person. Therefore, Islamic beliefs must be accepted based on reason and revelation.

H.I Ghulam Abbas Raesi
BIS Council Member

Beliefs are a fundamental and intellectual part of any religion because, the acceptance of other components of the religion, such as worship, is subject to the correctness of the beliefs. And beliefs are the part of any religion that requires rational and logical arguments. Beliefs are not acceptable without arguments, nor is it permissible to imitate them. That is why the basic concepts of beliefs should be understood by a teacher. Only reading books can lead to error and sometimes the slightest fallacy leads man astray, just as a philosopher like Bertrand Russell denied the existence of God based on just one question that arises in his mind.

Every society is based on its beliefs, whether individual or collective. Right thoughts are the key to the salvation of a society and determine its destiny. In view of this fundamental importance of beliefs, we set up an institution to enlighten our nation on the basis of reason and revelation. We have named this institution the Board of Islamic Studies. We hope that through this institution, Allah Almighty will grant us the ability to revive the religion in our nation and guarantee the future generations to walk on the path of true guidance.
